Gifts......

I want to share the gifts that I received from my convention roommates.  It is a tradition to make gifts for the girls that you share your space with while away from home!  Not only is it fun to receive, but it is just as fun to give!  I will share the things that I made on another post, so stay tuned.

For this post I am featuring my crafty sister, Carolyn.

This is a beautiful Cross that she made for me.  I love it and the vintageness that she added to it.  She knows what I like! 

This is a package of Card Candy that she made for a swap that she was in while at convention.  She made me one too!  These are so fun, I don't know if I can use them because I just love to look at them!  Thank you Carolyn for your awesome "roomie" gifts!  Oh, she also gave me (at the airport before we left) a goodie bag that included a journal and pen, sticky notes and treats for the trip!  I love to be spoiled and my Stampin' Sisters delivered this year!

I am back from Stampin' Up! 2013 Convention!

What a great time!  6000 demonstrators took over Salt Lake City this past week!  It was crazy, fun!

This year I celebrated my 5th Anniversary with the company.  Here is my walk across stage.  Jessica also celebrated her walk with me!

Happy to Celebrate with Jessica!  It was fun to be up on stage.  I didn't realize the floor was  so "cushy" up there !

Exterior House Gets Painted!

So for the last several weeks, I have been working on a project!  Getting the exterior of the house painted!  I finally received bids, and choose the contractor.  Today we get started.  I am so ready for the house to have a fresh look.  Unfortunately, the power washing revealed that more wood needs to be replaced than originally thought.  It is what it is, and lets move on with this project...

Hosting a Swap at Convention!

Along with Carolyn and Shelby, we are hosting a swap for 65 ladies at convention this year!  There is much planning that goes into doing an onsite swap.  Much more that doing one via the US Postal Service! 

 

Here is a picture of our sign, so that all of the swappers can find us!!

 

This is a picture of the swap bags that we made for each participant.

 

We used the "Statement of the Heart" stamp for a tag on the front of the bags.  They have a real "vintage" look that we loved!

Getting Ready For Convention

I have been busy working on swap cards now for a couple of months!  Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the 25th SU! Anniversary card that I designed before having to mail them to Utah!

I did, however, take a picture of this Halloween card swap that I am doing next week! 

 

SU! did not include holiday stamp sets in our new annual catalog that was released on July 1st.  Those will come out in a seperate catalog, available August 1st. So, I had to put on my creative cap for this one!  I am hoping this will pass! I used the Oval Framelits, Linen Thread, and 4 stamp sets to come up with this card! Honestly, it's not over the top Halloween, so maybe that is a good thing!

 

I will be sharing lots from convention in the next couple of weeks!

My husband and I took a beach trip this week!  It was a much needed break!  Unfortunately,  the beach time was limted due to this......

Red flags flying on the coast line means that the water is not desirable to play in!  So, we got to watch a lot of this......
